OSCAR Wilde’s classic comedy The Importance of Being Earnest brings much confusion to the stage at Leamington’s Loft Theatre.
Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff fall in love with two of society’s most eligible ladies, Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. But the men’s courtship of the women is far from easy. With double identities, plenty of ‘Bunburying’ and a number of hostile encounters with the formidable Lady Bracknell, the pair become entangled in a web of mistaken identities with hilarious consequences.
The production runs from April 26 to May 6.
