Wonders to behold at Herbert Art Gallery & Museum

Leamington Editorial 14th Aug, 2019   0

THERE are wonders to behold at the city’s Herbert Art Gallery & Museum.

The exhibition Wonder – Where Reality And Imaginary Collide takes visitors on a journey to enchanting new worlds, unexpected environments and dreamlike realities.

But visitors looking for a different perspective on things only have a month left to catch the exhibition which closes on September 15.

Seven artists have taken inspiration from the museum’s collection and Coventry itself to create an exhibition which goes

beyond the gallery walls and features immersive fun for visitors of all ages.

From urban landscapes to reimagined cartoon characters, a light pavilion, and creatures brought to life by augmented reality,

visitors should expect the unexpected.

Wonder, which runs until September 15, has been curated by Dr Rachel Marsden and also features work by Antonio Roberts, Edie Jo Murray, Julia Snowdin, Ben Javens and Lucy McLauchlan.

Joy Corcec, communications officer for Culture Coventry – the charity which runs the Herbert – said: “Wonder allows any visitor to experience the medium of modern technology in art, with just a month left, you don’t want to miss this enchanting exhibition.”

Admission is free. Visit www.theherbert.org for full details.
