All the fun of the fair at race finish in Leamington

FAIRGROUND fun provided the finishing line for a running challenge for Young People First.

A community fun day was held at the Westbury Centre in Leamington, with hook-a-duck, raffles, a barbecue, a bouncy castle and sweet stalls.

All the cash banked will go to Young People First – a community-based charity which works with young people aged from eight to 18-years-old to help them grow in confidence and resilience while developing essential life skills.

And the coffers were given a welcome £1,000 boost thanks to the efforts of the charity’s chief officer, Jo Squires, who completed her 496 running challenge in which she has covered almost 500km in July.

Jo said: “I love to keep fit and healthy and wanted to push myself in that area, so when I came across the 496 running challenge it seemed like the perfect thing to do to help raise money for Young People First.”

The fun day was supported by The Midcounties Co-operative, who were named one of Young People First’s new charity partners in July.
