All the fun of the fair at Telford Infant and Junior Schools

Leamington Editorial 6th Jul, 2022   0

A BOUNCY castle, BBQ and a visit from a police car were just some of the highlights of Telford Infant and Junior Schools’ joint summer festival at the weekend.

The Parent Teacher Associations of the two schools in Leamington joined forces for the festival on the schools grounds on Saturday (July 2) with the aim of raising much-needed funds for both schools.

The past two years have had a huge impact on fundraising opportunities for the PTA’s so members decided to collaborate and hold one huge summer fair rather than two smaller ones.

Entry was free, but with a suggestion of a £1 donation, and the final takings for the day are still being totted up. All the cash raised will go towards essential learning equipment and resources.

There was plenty for families to see and do including bouncy castles, a BBQ and bar, ice-creams and other refreshments. Stalls including a tombola, raffle, lucky dip and face painting were set out, as well as a visit from a police car and a fire engine – part of the entertainment for the day, rather than a professional visit.

There were also demonstrations from sports clubs including gymnastics, dance and karate.
