A BIG-HEARTED seven-year-old from Leamington has had her locks cut off for charity.
Ella Stockdale had a whopping 13 inches cut off her hair at a hairdressers on Friday (September 1), which will be donated to the Little Princess Trust.
She has also raised £955 in sponsorship for far that will also be donated to children with cancer. Ella initially set herself the target of raising £600 for the Little Princess Trust but after donations came flooding in, she has a new target of £1,000.
Ella was inspired to donate her hair to be made into a wig after one of her friends donated to the Little Princess Trust 18 months ago.
She thought it was a lovely thing to do and had been growing her hair so it was a good length for the donation.
Her dad, Matt Stockdale, added: “Ella said she just wanted to do whatever she could to help children with cancer. She loved her long hair and said it really can not be nice for children that can not grow their own hair so the wigs must be a big comfort to them.”
