FUNDRAISERS will experience what it is like sleeping rough to bank vital funds for Helping Hands Community Project in Leamington.
Fifty participants will be sleeping in the grounds of All Saints Parish Church tomorrow (Friday) for the ninth Big Sleepout.
Local businesses including Fine and Country, schools including Southam College and students from the University of Warwick Homeless Action Society are all taking part.
The event aims to give everyone an insight into homelessness, the factors that can cause it and the impact it can have on an individual living in such circumstances. The event is a chance to come together for a shared experience and hear from a range of speakers on various topics from several organisations and walks of life.
The Helping Hands food van will be on site, serving food and drinks throughout the evening, as well as breakfast in the morning. This will reflect the service that is given by the charity to the most vulnerable people in the community at its weekly evening and breakfast soup kitchens.
The Big Sing Choir will also drop in to provide entertainment.
All cash raised in sponsorship will go to Helping Hands.
