Blooming marvelous art on display at Leamington's smallest art gallery

Leamington Editorial 14th Mar, 2024   0

BLOOMING marvelous art is on display at Leamington’s smallest art gallery.

Leamington in Bloom has taken over the Art Box in Clarendon Avenue for a photography exhibition.

The snaps on display in the miniature art gallery – which is actually an old listed telephone box – are all entries to Leamington in Bloom’s 2023 photography competition.

The theme for the competition was “Hidden Green Leamington” and photographers were invited to showcase less well known recreation grounds, small parks, meadows and more.

The exhibition runs until the end of April.

The Leamington in Bloom group works to achieve the highest standards in Leamington parks and gardens for entry into the Heart of England in Bloom competition. To this end, as well as the photographic competition, they organise a “best blooming” competition of pubs, shops and businesses and compile the annual Leamington in Bloom calendar.

And the theme of “Sanctuary” has been announced for the 2024 Leamington in Bloom photographic competition.

For information on how to enter email deputy town clerk Kay Sheriston at [email protected] or call 01926 450906. The deadline for submissions is August 30.

Art Box is owned by Leamington Town Council and managed by Friends of Christchurch Gardens. It is available, free of charge, for community or school exhibitions.
