Butterfly lands at Leamington Morrisons for national campaign

THE TOGETHER for Short Lives butterfly landed at Morrisons in Leamington as part of a national campaign.

The town store has raised £20,000 for Short Lives since pledging its support for the children’s hospice charity in 2022.

And the special butterfly visited the store as part of a whistle stop tour of Morrisons branches across the Midlands.

Dignitaries and athletes, including gold medal winning boxer Lewis Williams, turned out in force and there were plenty of other attractions including Royal Spa Brass, a bike rally and a tombola.

The day raised over £2,300 for Short Lives.

Community champion Alex Pearson said: “We had a blast and it was so much fun. Counting the money during the day and seeing it get bigger was heart warming. I am so grateful to our customers who really make this community special. Our goal was £500 and we blow it out the park.”
