YOUNGSTERS from Campion School made all the right moves to be crowned Coventry Schools Chess League champions.
The Leamington school’s chess club was only started two years ago but has proved popular with pupils.
And their latest win will see them promoted to Division 1 in September where they will face Warwick School, Stratford’s KES and Bablake in Coventry.
Chess coordinator Roy Ruddlesdin said: “I am very proud of all they have achieved in just two years. Like our school motto – we aspired, we engaged and we achieved.”
