PERMISSION has been granted for 800 new flats on the Warwick University campus.
Residents in south Leamington recently voiced concerns about the rising numbers of students at the university, but they hope the flats will ease pressures on the town.
Figures show there were just 1,600 students living in Leamington in 2000, but that figure had soared to 5,900 this year.
