CRAFTY students at Leamington College recently received a special French lesson.
Furniture craft students went to France to learn a variety of skills in workshops focusing on wood carving, gilding and furniture restoration – techniques and training not available in the UK.
Tutor Jamie Ward said: “This is the first time that we have provided our students with this opportunity to learn under specialist French art and craft professionals.
“We hope to continue such trips in the future and look to invite other college students from within Europe to exchange and enhance their skills and knowledge.”
And student Simone Chester said she had been positively challenged and technically astounded by the learning experience.
