Double the funding available through Warwick District Council's Cost-of-Living Fund

DOUBLE the funding is available to community groups for projects to help households who are struggling in the district.

Warwick District Council has relaunched its Cost-of-Living Fund, which is now open for not-for-profit organisations including Parent Teachers Associations/’Friends of’ schools to apply for a grant of up to £3,000 to support initiatives to assist people living in their communities.

This includes in areas such as supplying food and other household essentials, assisting with access to services, helping with finances, supporting mental health and wellbeing, and school holiday activities or food provision during the school holidays.

Last year, 20 organisations received funding including Baby Basics Warwick for their Safe to Sleep project, which provides Moses baskets, stands, mattresses, and bedding to vulnerable mothers, Baginton Village Hall to continue their warm hub, and Action 21 which gives vouchers to people in need for everyday household items.

WDC’s head of customer and digital services Andrea Wyatt said: “We are very pleased to have been able to extend and enhance this scheme. These grants can help organisations who are at the heart of our communities to reach out and target support to those who really need it. With twice as much money available, we hope that this will encourage as many eligible groups as

possible to apply.”
