A TEENAGER has been sentenced to more than two years in a Young Offenders’ Institution after he admitted possessing crack and heroin.

In February, officers from the Warwickshire Police saw George Clack carrying out a suspected drugs deal in Leamington town centre.

As they tried to arrest him, the 19-year-old ran away and threw an object in the River Leam, which was later found to contain 105 individual wraps of heroin and crack cocaine.

When officers searched him, he also had multiple individual wraps of crack cocaine, heroin, and a large amount of cash on him.

Clack, of Allesley Hall Drive, Coventry, was charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – heroin.

He pleaded guilty to both charges at an earlier hearing and was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court to 27 months in a Young Offenders’ Institution.

He was also made to pay a victim surcharge of £228 and had more than £250 cash forfeited.
