Emma continues her crime-fighting duties as Warwickshire Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner

WARWICKSHIRE’S Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner, Emma Daniell has been reappointed for another four-year term.

During her initial tenure, from April 2022 until the recent PCC elections in May. the former police officer led several key initiatives, including chairing the Warwickshire Drug and Alcohol Strategic Partnership, leading work for Warwickshire PCC Philip Seccombe on the countywide health and wellbeing agenda and retail crime, as well as representing Mr Seccombe at the Youth Justice Board.

She is also a board member of the Cyber Resilience Centre for the West Midlands.

Following his re-election in May, Mr Seccombe nominated Emma to continue as his deputy. Legislation requires the proposal to be presented for approval to the Police and Crime Panel – a body comprising nine councillors from across Warwickshire and two co-opted independent members.

Mrs Daniell said: “I am passionate about policing and have thoroughly enjoyed my role over the past two years. This position allows me to make a real difference in communities across Warwickshire, shaping policies that protect some of the most vulnerable individuals while ensuring that Warwickshire Police continues to develop and enhance the service it provides to the public.

“I am eager to return to the office and pick up where I left off in May. I’m really looking forward to getting out and about across Warwickshire, supporting Philip as we engage with communities and talk to people about new Police and Crime Plan, ensuring it addresses their priorities and makes Warwickshire an even safer place.”
