ENERGY saving lighting is being installed at St Peter’s car park in Leamington.
The multi-storey car park’s new generation LED lighting should slash Warwick District Council’s energy bills by £36,000 a year and provide a carbon emission saving of around 14 tonnes annually.
The work includes a complete upgrade to the lighting, including presence detection and flexible dimming.
The upgrade should also provide safety and reassurance to users of the car park.
Work to install the lighting began on Wednesday (January 10) and WDC’s contractors are beginning from the top floor and working downwards. The floor they are working on will be temporarily closed while the work takes place. WDC apologises for the temporary disruption.

Updates on progress will be posted on WDC’s social media pages.
