Environmentally-friendly pupils given eco tour

ECO-MINDED pupils at a primary school were invited to a housing development in Hampton Magna to learn about sustainability and construction on site.

Bellway South Midlands welcomed 16 pupils from Budbrooke Primary School’s Eco Council to its Hampton Trove development in the village.

The Eco Council is formed of a group of children who meet monthly to discuss eco-friendly and environmental issues within the school to prepare for their future with consideration for global issues.

The pupils were given a tour of the development by the site manager at Hampton Trove, Adam Jones, who told them about sustainability measures taken on the development in both construction and waste management.

As part of their visit, the pupils were also given a welcome pack which included a large bird box, for use in the school’s sensory garden.
