Family of youngster with Cerebral Palsy raising money for 'wonderful' physiotherapy department

Leamington Editorial 24th Nov, 2018   0

THE MUM of a Warwick youngster with Cerebral Palsy is raising money for the physiotherapy department which supports him.

Three-year-old Lincoln Hookey receives treatment at Warwick Hospital’s Paediatric Physiotherapy Unit where he has weekly sessions.

And to raise money for the unit a festive fashion show has been organised by Lincoln’s mum Sarah, his nursery Kings Meadow in Warwick and Revolve women’s clothing store in Leamington.

It will take place at The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club on Thursday December 6, from 7pm.

Sarah said: “It wasn’t until Lincoln started to receive treatment from the paediatric physiotherapy team at Warwick that we learned how underfunded this area of care is.

“It is hard to put into words the difference the support Lincoln has received so far has made to both his and our lives. We want to raise as much money as possible to help support this wonderful team and ensure that Lincoln and other children in the area can continue to benefit from the life-enhancing care they give.”

The event will also include a two-course meal, drinks and a prize draw.

Tickets cost £30 and are available to buy from Revolve on Warwick Street or search ‘Festive Fashion Show for Warwick Paediatric Physiotherapy’ on Facebook for more details.
