A FESTIVE weekend is promised for all in Whitnash.

On Saturday (December 2) mayor Coun Tony Heath will present a charity concert at St Joseph’s Church Parish Centre on Murcott Road East. The Cubbington Silver Band and the Royal Naval Association Choir will both perform and money raised will be donated to South Warwickshire Heart and the Whitnash Charitable Trust.

Tickets are £10 each and available from the Whitnash Town Council office and on the door.

The following day the Whitnash Sports and Social Club on Heathcote Road will hold its free Christmas Bazaar from 1pm to 5pm.

There will be stalls and refreshments on offer along with a children’s party which will run from 2pm to 3pm.

From 4pm the annual Whitnash Christmas Lights Switch-On will be taking place at the Plough & Harrow Public House on Whitnash Road.

Christmas carols, live bands, dance acts, fairground rides and a magician promise to get the whole family in the festive spirit.

The lights will be switched on at 6.00pm by Father Christmas.
