A FIREFIGHTER has pulled on his running shoes to raise money for Guide Dogs.
Nick Fowkes, who works at Leamington Fire Station, took on the Great North Run and raised some £600 for the charity.
He said: “I would thoroughly recommend anyone take part in what is the world’s biggest half marathon, and definitely for such a worthwhile cause that is Guide Dogs.”
And to thank Nick, Guide Dog Elsa went to visit him at the station where he presented them with the cheque.
