WARWICKSHIRE firefighters who are members of the Armed Forces community will be entitled to more support.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service has signed the Armed Forces Covenant to show their commitment to support the Armed Forces community and their families.

Chief Fire Officer Andy Hickmott said: “It was an honour to sign the agreement with Lieutenant Colonel Guy Chambers.

“We have a proud history of employing members of the armed forces, who bring with them a range of transferable skills through their military training.

“For us, the signing of this covenant is just an extension of the excellent work already being undertaken here in Warwickshire to support the armed forces and its community and I hope it strengthens those bonds even further.”
