Florist raises artistic cuppa at Leamington hotel

A FLORIST has joined forces with a Leamington hotel to bring artistic inspiration to its in-room china collections.

Sarah Horne, the Chelsea Gold Medal-winning florist who runs Sarah Horne Botanicals in Leamington, has created bespoke designs for the bedroom china at Mallory Court Hotel.

The collaboration with Mallory Court, which was crowned Best Large Hotel at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2025, features hand-drawn illustrations inspired by the magnolia trees in Mallory Court’s gardens.

Each piece, rooted in the tradition of Victorian botanical drawings, is handcrafted in small batches in Stoke-on-Trent.

Sarah said: “It’ a great feeling knowing guests visiting a place as special Mallory Court can enjoy these designs in their rooms.

“’It’s been a fantastic experience, from coming up with the design to witnessing the care that goes into every single piece that comes out of the kiln.”

Josefine Blomqvist, general manager at Mallory Court Hotel, which is part of the Eden Hotel Collection, said they were always keen to champion talented local artists and suppliers.

She added: “We’ve worked with Sarah previously at our sister property, The Arden Hotel in Stratford, we knew her attention to detail and sensitivity to design would be a perfect fit for Mallory Court.”
