Green light given to demolish police station to make way for surgery

Leamington Editorial 27th Feb, 2019   0

THE DERELICT former police station in Warwick will be demolished to make way for a new medical centre – which will see surrounding surgeries close.

Planning permission has been granted for developers Dudley Taylor Pharmacies to knock down the existing building in Priory Road and build a three-storey medical centre in its place.

The new surgery would see nearby Priory Medical Centre and Cape Road Surgery close, and patients also accepted from Brese Avenue Surgery – which would remain open.

The former police station has been empty since it closed in 2013.
