Green projects across Warwick district invited to apply for Nature Fund cash

CASH is available for projects that will create a greener and more resilient district.

Applications are now open for Warwick District Council’s Community Climate and Nature Fund.

Grants of up to £10,000 are available to registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CIC), schools, town and parish councils and not-for-profit groups for projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt and build resilience to climate change, conserve and enhance biodiversity, reduce waste, or increase recycling and support the circular economy.

Applicants are encouraged to read the detailed guidance notes and FAQs before applying, to ensure their application meets the criteria.

The first round of funding applications will close on September 30 with decisions made by October 31.

WDC’s decarbonisation spokesperson Coun Hema Yellapragada said: “I’m delighted to confirm that the first round of funding is now open for applications. Communities are at the heart of creating meaningful and impactful change, and we’re proud to support their initiatives for a greener and healthier district through this fund. I would encourage any councils, community groups, schools and charities to apply.”
