Help available with energy bills in Warwick district

Leamington Editorial 19th Jul, 2023   0

HELP is available for residents looking to reduce their energy bills and improve the energy efficiency of their homes.

Warwick District Council is providing funding to Act on Energy to extend its service to offer a range of specialist help and support.

This could involve signposting to a range of different grant schemes, providing energy debt advice or helping residents understand energy bills.

Support is also available for those with cold-related health conditions who may be eligible for boiler replacements, servicing and emergency heating provision.

And in a new approach aimed at householders who are able to invest in their home’s energy efficiency measures, specialist support and tailored advice is now available with Home Energy Help.

Act on Energy has teamed up with Furbnow to provide a personalised, easy to read home energy plan with recommendations on improvements such as insulation or solar panels.

WDC climate change spokesperson Coun James Kennedy said: “Carbon emissions from homes not only impact our climate, but they also impact the household financially. There’s never been a more important time to save on your energy bills and ensure that your home is warm and safe, so I encourage you to see what help may be available for you.”
