Helping Hands in Leamington receives much-needed donation

Leamington Editorial 29th Jan, 2024   0

MORE homeless people can be helped in Leamington thanks to a much-needed donation.

Helping Hands Community Project has helped support over 800 individuals in the last year and, with the cost-of-living crisis affecting so many, is seeing this number and the demand for their services increase.

Therefore a £500 donation from Barratt Homes has been more than welcome.

Helping Hands provides hot meals for those in need and also offers support with accommodation, furniture donation, counselling services and support groups.

Charity founder Lianne Kirkman said: “We are extremely grateful to Barratt Homes for its donation. Our community project is funded mainly through the generous giving of individuals, corporates, and local community groups.

“This will allow us to continue the work we do in giving local homeless and vulnerable people a hand up, not just a handout towards a brighter future.”
