HOLOCAUST Memorial Day was marked in Warwick in a local tradition now stretching back more than 20 years.
There was an open air service of prayers and poetry readings on January 27 at the War Memorial in Church Street.
Pupils and teachers from five local schools – All Saints, Coten End, Aylesford, Myton, and Warwick and King’s High – joined with members of the public and civic dignitaries from the town, district and county councils led by Warwick mayor Richard Edgington who laid a wreath of white flowers.
Prayers were led by Father Patrick Mileham as people remembered the victims and horror of genocides and holocausts over the last century.
