Homeless hound meets his match after three years in kennels

Leamington Editorial 17th Jan, 2017   0

A HOMELESS hound who has spent three years in kennels has received the best birthday present ever – a new home.

Crossbreed Chip arrived at the Dogs Trust in Kenilworth some 1,000 days ago but since then has been overlooked by people searching for their new four-legged friend.

But on his fifth birthday the dog found a home in Banbury.

Assistant manager Emma Healey said: “We are so pleased that cheeky chap Chip has found his forever home – and on his birthday, too.

“We know he’ll be very happy with his new owner and we know he’ll have lots of fun celebrating many more birthdays in a loving home.”

To find out more about rehoming one of the dogs call 0300 303 0292 or visit the centre in Honiley.
