Homeless people offered bed by council as soon as temperature drops

HOMELESS people will be offered a bed by the council if the temperature drops below freezing this winter.

Currently Warwick District Council only give rough sleepers a bed if the temperature drops below zero for three successive nights and if local night shelters are closed.

The council say the service would only be offered if the shelters were closed and expect to the provision to cost some £13,000 or less.
