A GIANT photo mosaic depicting William the Conqueror is marking 950 years since he began the building of Warwick Castle.
The giant installation has been created from over 1,000 images submitted by schools, residents and visitors, and can be seen in the state dining room – in viewing distance of where the original wooden motte and bailey fort was first constructed in 1068.
School children were invited to put the last pieces in place, and now those visiting are invited to discover their own pictures in the mosaic.
New ‘Conquerors Fortress tours’ are also marking the anniversary.
