HUNDREDS of jobs look set to be created after plans to extend a Leamington business park were given the green light.

Warwick District Council has approved plans for the multi-million pound extension to Spa Park which will see seven industrial units built on 30-acres of land off Tachbrook Road.

Developers Stoford say work on the site of the former Automotive Products factory will begin next month.

Spokesman Dan Gallagher said: “Now that we have planning consent we are looking forward to starting construction. Demolition of existing buildings will start in April.

“This is a significant development that will create much-needed business units of a size that are very much in demand in this area.

“We are confident that this new scheme will generate huge interest from prospective occupiers based on the positive discussions we have already had.

“We hope to make announcements on the first occupiers in the not too distant future.”
