ICY weather descended on south Warwickshire this week as visitors to Charlecote Park can testify.
After a mild festive season, with dreamers left bereft of a white Christmas, residents woke up in the new year to freezing conditions, which suggested harsher weather was set to kick in at the beginning of 2026.
Out and about in the area, frost crept across windows and pavements, footsteps crunched underfoot, breath appeared in clouds, and in some areas there was even a dusting of snow.
Meanwhile, the National Trust property near Wellesbourne was transformed into a winter wonderland for hardy families, as well as its infamous red deer, to frolic in.
