AN EMERGENCY landing was made in Wellesbourne airfield after an aeroplane got into difficulty say police.
Warwickshire Police, ambulance and fire crews rushed to the scene following reports of the plane which was thought to have a mechanical fault.
No one was injured in the incident which happened on Saturday (March 27).
However, contrary to the police report, a spokesperson for Wellesbourne Airfield says the plane was not forced to make an emergency landing, but that the vehicle’s undercarriage ‘collapsed’ after it touched down.
Investigations are ongoing.
