JEPHSON Gardens is the third most loved park, outside of London, in the UK.

That was the result of a study by PoundToy which looked at the park visitors’ Tripadvisor reviews and annual Google searches, scoring the parks out of ten for each review factor to reveal the most loved parks across the nation.

The gardens in Leamington were pipped by Christ Church Meadow in Oxford which took top spot, and Seven Sisters Country Park in East Sussex which came second.

Jephson Gardens scored 6.41 out of 10, behind Seven Sisters Country Park (6.50) and Christ Church Meadow (6.62).

About Jephson Gardens, the study said: “The area includes flowered gardens, a large open grassy park as well as plenty of amenities to keep people of all ages entertained for hours.”

Fourth place went to Jesmond Dene in Newcastle, fifth to Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow, sixth to Liverpool’s Sefton Park, seventh to Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, eighth to Roundhay Park in Leeds, ninth to Windsor Great Park and tenth to Bradgate Park in neighbouring Leicestershire.
