IT IS hoped this year’s Kenilworth Rotary Club Advent Calendar will raise even more cash for good causes.
The advent calendar will be produced again for 2023 following on from last year’s sellout success, which raised over £13,000 for charity.
This year’s calendar will feature on its cover a photo of the Northern Lights above Warwick Castle as captured by local landscape and wildlife photographer Nigel Wilkins – https://nigelwilkinsphotography.com – earlier this year.
It is a traditional advent calendar with 24 numbered doors, one for each day of advent.
But what makes this advent calendar different is what is behind the doors.
The calendar works a bit like a raffle.
Each day there is list of five prizes each of which has been donated by a local business, including free meals and drinks, free haircuts, cash prizes, family passes to Warwick Castle and the Wave water park, household items, jewellery and more.
Each calendar carries a unique number, and each day five calendars are selected at random to win the five prizes for that day.
Winning numbers will be listed daily on the dedicated website www.kenilworthadventcalendar.co.uk and a hard copy, updated daily, posted on the notice board in Talisman Square.
Advent calendars will go on sale in mid-October.
