BEE Friendly, Myton Hospices and the Sydni Centre all received cash in the latest round of Leamington Town Council community grants.
The council awarded £14,776 to 11 local charities and organisations to fund various community projects that will be of benefit to residents.
Individual grants of up to £2,000 are distributed across three funding rounds throughout the fiscal year which runs from April to March. This recent allocation marks the second of the three rounds for the year.
Leamington mayor Coun Judith Clarke said: “The town council is committed to supporting worthy causes through our Community Grant Fund. This funding is available for community and voluntary groups delivering impactful projects that benefit Leamington residents.
“The deadline for the next funding round is December 6. We encourage eligible organisations to visit our website, review the requirements, and apply for funding for their projects.”
Other recipients in this latest round of grants included Action Menopause Warwickshire, Shree Krishna Resource Centre for the Diwali lights switch on event, Leamington History Group for a digital archive and Leamington Rotary Club for the Santa in the Priors event.
