Leamington couple win £30,000 in the People's Postcode Lottery

A LEAMINGTON resident had the “surprise of his life” when he found out he had scooped a share of a mammoth £150,000 on the People’s Postcode Lottery at the weekend.

Christopher Vincett was one of five residents from the town who scooped a slice of the prize winnings thanks to their postcode – CV32 6BN – being picked in the draw on July 17.

Each of the five will receive a cheque for £30,000.

Mr Vincett described winning the cheque as “the surprise of his life”.

He continued: “It is amazing. I can’t wait to tell the family. We’ll have some fun with them and make some plans”.

The 66-year-old was joined by his wife Sarah when he received the news. She added: “It’s very exciting. I think I’ll have a cup of coffee, but perhaps we can have some bubbles later. Our three grandchildren all have birthdays coming up so we’ll be able to get them all a nice gift.

“Hopefully we can go on a safari too”.

The other winners wished to remain anonymous but their prizes will be paid into their bank accounts.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said:

“Congratulations to our lucky Leamington winners. I’m sure they’ll have lots of fun treating themselves with the money and celebrating”.

People’s Postcode Lottery costs £10 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day. People play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws.

Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have helped raise over £900million to date for thousands of good causes across Britain and internationally.
