A KEEN walker from Leamington has completed her challenge to walk 2022 miles in 2022.
Diana Hancox set herself the task of walking an average of 40 miles a week since January in aid of Alzheimers Research UK.
And she even managed to reach the finish line three weeks early after completing Leamington Park Run/Walk at Newbold Comyn on Saturday (December 10).
Diana decided to take up the year-long fitness challenge as her mother has Alzheimers.
She said: “To witness someone you love disappearing into this disease, struggling every moment to work out where she is, where she should be and how to cope, is painful. Added to this is changing personality, mood changes and depression.
“This walk is for research in the hope that future generations won’t have to suffer watching their loved ones suffer with this disease.”
