A JEWELLERY business that began in Leamington during the chaos of lockdown has been recognised among the UK’s top 100 small firms.
Impressums Jewellery, which creates silver jewellery inspired by natural and coastal influences was founded by Lauren Winnett in the midst of the pandemic in 2020 and has recently celebrated its five-year milestone.
Following a nationwide search, the Leamington firm has been selected as part of this year’s SmallBiz100 line-up, which showcases the most innovative and admired small businesses across the nation, as part of the count-down to Small Business Saturday on December 6.
Running in the UK for over a decade, Small Business Saturday is the UK’s most successful small business campaign, which celebrates small businesses and encourages the public to support and spend with small firms.
Lauren said: “I am deeply honoured to have been selected as part of this year’s Small Business Saturday campaign. In today’s climate, when small independent businesses like mine face so many challenges, this recognition feels especially meaningful. It not only shines a light on the dedication and resilience required to keep a small creative business thriving but also serves as an encouraging boost for the future of Impressums Jewellery.
“Being chosen for this campaign is both a privilege and a reminder of the importance of celebrating and supporting small businesses across the UK.”
Impressums Jewellery will be profiled by the campaign on November 23 as part of the 100-day countdown to Small Business Saturday UK.
Michelle Ovens, director of Small Business Saturday UK, added: “Small businesses are the nation’s favourite businesses – bringing immeasurable value to our local communities and powering the wider economy.
“Firms like Impressums Jewellery in this year’s SmallBiz100 represent some of the UK’s most-loved small businesses. It is so important that we encourage public support for small businesses up and down the country, as many are still facing a host of challenges as they enter this critical final stretch of the year.”
