Leamington Repair cafe expects the unexpected

VOLUNTEERS at Leamington Repair Cafe never know what will turn up.

The repair team deal with a lot of practical electrical and electronic repairs, but some of their favourites have sentimental value way above their cash worth.

This has included a much-loved glass bowl with a broken base, a precious doll with loose joints, a musical snowman that stopped playing after the grandchildren had been to visit and a favourite pair of old boots which were saved from the bin by a small amount of stitching on a zip.

These are mixed in with a wide range of items which have included a mini table-football table and a honey extractor.

The volunteers will have a look at anything that can be carried in by its owner.

The next repair cafe is being held this Saturday (March 30) between 11am and 12pm at the SYDNI Centre.
