MAGIC was afoot when pupils at a Leamington school staged a production of Into The Woods.
Pupils at Kingsley School rose to the challenge of performing the Stephen Sondheim musical, based on interweaving stories and consequences from The Brothers Grimm fairytales.
Among the cast were Ellie Sinclair as the Baker, Georgie Green as the Baker’s Wife, Katie Loudon, as Cinderella and Amberqway Alford, as Little Red Riding Hood.
And the set was designed by GCSE art student Olivia Allan.
The cast were coached by director and teacher Aaron Bixley, alongside Kingsley’s musical director Julian Smith.
Julian said: “I has been a privilege to work with the girls on this demanding production. It is a difficult sing and a difficult play at a professional level – they didn’t just rise to the challenge, they raised the bar and flew away with it.
“I am immensely proud of each and every one of them.”
