Leamington's Living Labyrinth to create a buzz

A GREEN sanctuary is set to create a buzz among people and pollinators alike in Leamington.

The new Living Labyrinth will be unveiled in All Saints Churchyard in Priory Terrace on Saturday June 7.

It boasts over 1,000 perennial plants chosen for their beauty, long flowering season, and appeal to vital pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

The living labyrinth is designed as a mindful walking space and has been created by ARC (Achieving Results in Communities), All Saints’ Church, and the All Saints’ Community Garden Group.

It will be officially launched as part of The Great Big Green Week, the UK’s biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.

Visitors will be able to climb the bell tower for a peregrine’s-eye view of the new labyrinth, take part in live mural painting with Brink Contemporary Arts and dig deep into habitation creation workshops.

The project builds on over two years of community gardening at All Saints’, which was recently recognised with a Leamington Society award for its contribution to public green space.

Lucie Cox, community gardening facilitator, for ARC, said: “The new labyrinth is both a celebration of that journey and a hopeful step toward a more connected, biodiverse future in the heart of town. Whether you’re curious about urban wildlife, looking for a creative day out with the family, or simply want to walk the labyrinth and share in stories of nature and community, everyone is welcome.”
