WONDERLAND awaited visitors to this year’s Myton Hospice summer fete.

Hundreds of people made the most of the sunny weather to enjoy the Alice in Wonderland themed fete in the hospice grounds.

And through tombolas, auctions, donkey rides, stalls and croquet games, they managed to raise nearly £18,000.

Warwick-based dance group Fit2Dance opened the event with a special routine and revellers enjoyed an hour-long jazz set by local band Loco Mundo.

Events manager Sarah Stallard said: “We were thrilled to see so many people come along to enjoy this year’s fete.

“We couldn’t have hosted this year’s event without the help and support from the local community including local businesses, volunteers and Rotary groups. Our patients also got involved and helped make decorations for the garden on the days leading up to the event.

“It was a fantastic day and great to see so many people enjoying themselves, especially those who fully embraced this year’s theme by dressing up for the occasion.”
