New intergenerational art project gets off the ground in Kenilworth

A NEW intergenerational art project is coming to Kenilworth.

Arts Uplift starts in July and will include movement, music and memory activities for free.

The project has been funded by Comic Relief, Warwick District Council and Kenilworth Town Council.

First to get going is the older people’s Movement to Music sessions, which involve simple stretching exercises to well-known songs and music and guided by experienced dancer Kath Kimber-McTiffen.

There will also be time for tea and chat.

Participants do not need a diagnosis to take part and those with limited mobility can remain seated if they prefer.

Sessions will run on Fridays from 11am to 12.30pm at Kenilworth Library.

Dates for young people’s sessions are to be confirmed.
