A BIG-hearted nine-year-old boy from Southam has completed a 13 mile charity walk for his grandpa.
Zachary Wain stepped out with his mum Joanna for the trek from his home all the way to Warwick Castle on Saturday (June 14).
He completed the mammoth challenge in support of his grandpa Brian who suffers from Alzheimer’s.
All the cash raised will go to the Alzheimer’s Society to help his grandpa and those like him.
Zachary set himself a fundraising target of £150, which he has already smashed and is now on his way to raising over £600.
Joanna said: “Zach loves his grandpa very much and everyday his heart breaks a little bit more because of how this horrendous disease is effecting a man he loves and misses. Zach wants to raise money to help grandpa and people like him.”
The Alzheimer’s Society is working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
They are doing this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
