Non-uniform day breaks records at Campion School in Leamington

Leamington Editorial 8th Dec, 2023   0

A NON-UNIFORM day in aid of a baby loss charity proved to be Campion School’s most successful fundraiser to date.

The pupils at the school in Leamington wore their own clothes in exchange for a donation to The Lily Mae Foundation and raised £800.

This is the largest amount raised for a charitable day at the school.

The Lily Mae Foundation was set up in 2010 after Ryan and Amy Jackson lost their baby daughter, Lily Mae, who was stillborn at full-term.

The charity aims to support families who have suffered the loss of a baby and wants to raise awareness of how regularly this tragedy occurs.

Most people do not realise that stillbirth, miscarriage, neonatal death, and medical termination devastate more than 3,500 parents each year and The Lily Mae Foundation is working hard to raise understanding and perception to encourage change.
