Over 1,000 residents have their say over new Abbey Fields path

OVER a thousand residents shared their views on plans for a new path in Kenilworth’s Abbey Fields.

A total of 1,028 completed surveys were received towards the ‘Path for Our Future’ consultation on proposals to create a new shared-use walking, wheeling and cycling path across the popular parkland.

Warwick District Council’s decarbonisation spokesperson Coun Lowell Williams said: “I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the people of Kenilworth for voicing their views. It’s important for us to understand the needs and concerns of all the users of this much-loved park.

“We will now take the time to analyse these responses and written submissions so that we are accurately reflecting the views shared as we look at the future of this proposal.”

A summary of the responses and next steps will be published on WDC’s website at www.warwickdc.gov.uk/apathforourfuture soon.
