THE GAP Community Centre in Warwick is offering over 50s a helping hand

The Oakwood Grove-based centre runs several activities for over 50s centred to help improve their health and wellbeing – both physical and mental.

The centre holds regular activities – open to all on anybody, with all paid-for activities on a pay-as-you-go basis – including exercise classes, a lunch club, and art group.

Warwick and Leamington MP Matt Western recently dropped in during a Community Coffee and Information Morning,

Laura Clarke of Equip (Equality and Inclusion Partnership), a charity which provides support, advice and training to people across Warwickshire to combat discrimination, also attended.

Siobhan Allen, from NatWest, was on hand to promote the bank’s partnership with Friends against Scams – a national trading standards initiative which aims to protect and prevent people from becoming victims of scams.

Louise Wilson, from Healthwatch Warwickshire, gave advice on local health and social care issues, and Alison Conway, from Age UK Warwickshire, was offered advice regarding day to day matters affecting older adults, as did Jane Rostron from Warwick District Council’s housing department.
