A PAN-tastic time was had by youngsters in Warwick despite the drizzly weather.
Warwick Rotary Club’s annual pancake races took over the town on Tuesday February 28 – a week after Shrove Tuesday due to the schools’ half-term.
And children from nine local primary schools battled it out around Market Square, cheered on by their parents, classmates and spectators.
The grown-ups were also invited to join in. Local businesses could sign up and prizes were given out to the winning team.
This year’s event was again supported by Tesco, providing the prizes, The Globe supplied hot pancakes, while local pubs and coffee shops provided warm drinks.
A trophy was awarded to each winning team.
