Playgrounds in Sydenham are safer thanks to new fencing

TWO playgrounds in Sydenham are safer areas for children to play thanks to new fencing.

Some £22,000 was donated by Leamington-based property company AC Lloyd Homes for new fencing around play areas at Calder Walk and Fallow Hill.

Coun Will Roberts, who represents Willes ward for both Warwick District Council (WDC) and Warwickshire County Council (WCC) got in touch with AC Lloyd Homes to see if they would fund the fencing. And they threw in a seesaw at Calder Walk and a bench at Fallow Hill for good measure.

Coun Roberts said the improvements were fantastic and had been well-received by local families.

He continued: “I am extremely grateful to AC Lloyd for providing the district council with additional financial support to make these upgrades to both of these popular local parks in South Leamington.

“The residents I have spoken to are really pleased with the improvements because the fencing makes it easier for parents with several children or really young children to allow their children to play safely.”

While Alistair Clark, managing director of AC Lloyd Homes, said he was delighted families living nearby and pupils of Sydenham Primary School had a much safer environment to play in.
