THERE will be plenty to tickle the taste buds at this year’s Stratford Food Festival.

It is set to take over the town centre on Saturday September 20 and Sunday September 21. There will over 100 food and drink stalls and a live cookery stage, as well as entertainment and activities to enjoy around the town.

Leading local chefs and local culinary stars will be creating seasonal dishes on the cookery stage with sessions throughout both days. There will be live demonstrations with Nick Rowberry from The Boathouse and cocktail making with Shakespeare Distillery all hosted by local food influencer Bia Rodrigues-Perry.

Hands-on workshops, kids’ cook-alongs, and foodie crafts are also on the menu, as is an eating contest and live music, including Stratford favourite The Texan Peacocks.

Kate Livingston from festival organiser Slate Events said: “It is great to be scheduling the entertainment for this fantastic event. It has been great working alongside local businesses to create something fun and interactive for all the family to enjoy.”

Stratford BID manager Aaron Corsi added: “Kate from Slate Events has been great to work with and who better to oversee our busy and varied line-up of talented local chefs on our live kitchen stage, than one of our best loved local foodie champions, Bianca Rodrigues-Perry. Bianca’s passion for both cooking and supporting independent local businesses, coupled with her infectious personality, makes her the perfect MC for our fabulous weekend of food and entertainment.”
